There’s a chance you’ll experience side effects while using Tolterodine, the same as any medicine you may take. It’s rare, but if you experience any of the following symptoms, stop taking Tolterodine right away and get medical attention – it could be a sign of an allergic reaction:
- Swollen face, tongue, or throat
- Difficulty swallowing
- Hives
- Difficulty breathing
Likewise, if you experience chest pain, you get tired easily (even while resting), or your legs begin to swell, get medical attention right away.
The most common side effects of Tolterodine (affecting more than one in ten people) are dry mouth and headaches. Other common side effects (affecting up to one in ten people) include:
- Bronchitis
- Dizziness
- Sleepiness
- Pins and needles in the fingers and toes
- Dry eyes
- Blurred vision
- Vertigo
- Palpitations
- Digestive difficulties
- Constipation
- Stomach pain
- Trapped wind
- Dry skin
- Painful or difficult urination
- Tiredness
- Chest pain
- Fluid retention
- Weight gain
- Diarrhea
